Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny Lot Fills Fast
Seven trailer spots is all you get, and on summer weekends they can be claimed by 8 AM. If you're heading out on a Saturday in July or August, get there early or have a plan B — there's no real overflow area.
Small Lake, Small Ramp
This is a single-lane launch suited for jon boats, kayaks, and smaller pontoons. Don't try to muscle anything over 20 feet through here — the approach is tight and there's no room to maneuver if someone else is loading.
Quiet Panfish Spot
Cedar Hedge is a sleepy little lake that doesn't draw the tournament crowd. Bluegill, sunfish, and some decent bass make it a great half-day trip. Weekdays you might have the whole lake to yourself.
State Park Access
It's administered by Interlochen State Park, so you'll need a Recreation Passport on your vehicle. Easy to forget if you're just popping in for a quick launch — don't get caught without one.
