Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Cash Only Marina
They don't take credit cards here, so bring cash for any fees. Easy to get caught off guard if you're just pulling in off the water on a longer trip.
Deep Water Ramp
Single lane, but the water is deep right off the ramp — no dragging your skeg through muck or waiting for water levels to cooperate. You can get a decent-sized boat in and out without drama.
Zero Trailer Parking
There are no designated trailer spots, which tells you everything about the scale of this place. If you're trailering in, you'll need to get creative with parking — it works fine on a quiet weekday, but don't expect to stage alongside other rigs on a summer Saturday.
Great Stopover Point
This is a real gem if you're running the north shore between St. Ignace and Escanaba. Well-sheltered harbor, walkable to restaurants in town — Angel's Bar is a bit farther on foot but worth it. Makes a solid overnight or refueling stop on a longer cruise.
Off-Season Heads Up
By October the bathrooms are locked and trash cans disappear. The upside is you'll have the place almost entirely to yourself. Gorgeous for a quiet launch or just soaking in the views, but plan accordingly if you need facilities.
