Crowding Ten trailer spaces on 100-odd acres is a lot of boat per acre, and the lot shares a 6.65-acre park with a swim beach, a playground, a basketball court and two shelters. FWC also records 55 vehicle spaces, a 2009-era figure the county does not corroborate. No usage data is published, so weekend contention is likely but unmeasured.

Small Boats, No Number
Pasco County says the ramp launches “canoes/kayaks and small powered engine boats” and never defines small — no horsepower cap, length limit or electric-only rule exists in any county or state source, and FWC's “Small Boats” site name is a description, not a size class. If your boat is a boundary case, call (727) 457-2819.
Free, Unusually
No fee — confirmed by both FWC's record and the county's rules page, which meters only Anclote River Park and Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park ($10 a day, card only). Moon Lake Park is not on that list.
The Half-Hour Rule
The park runs dawn to dusk and the ramp closes a half hour before the park does. On a lake whose obvious draw is the sunset bite, that half hour is a real constraint — plan the last run accordingly.

The ramp, the canoe/kayak launch and an unguarded swim beach sit on the same small frontage — the county puts the paddle launch “to the right of the beach area.” Watch your wake and watch for swimmers.
