Crowding Four lanes and 87 trailer spaces on the FWC inventory, at the north end of a 2,534-acre lake FWC describes as having relatively low fishing pressure. Launch capacity is not the constraint here; the 5 a.m. opening is two hours earlier than Chesnut's, which makes this the ramp for a pre-dawn start. The 135-acre park also draws weekend dog-park, playground and picnic traffic.
Plan B — if this lot is full John Chesnut Sr. Park Boat Ramp on the southeast shore — six lanes, 80 trailer spaces by FWC's count, but it does not open until 7 a.m. and it is about five miles down the lake, so in a hard north wind the two ramps are not interchangeable. The county's annual Boat & Beach Pass covers both.

FWC has the hours wrong
The FWC row says Hours 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Pinellas County, the managing agency, says "A.L. Anderson Park...Open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m." on its Boat Ramp Parking page. Two hours earlier in the morning. The county governs.
FWC has the fee method wrong
The FWC row stores FeeCollectionType as Parking Meter. Pinellas County now runs cashless pay stations that "require vehicle tag numbers and are cashless, only accepting Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards." No cash, no coin. Bring a card.
The FWC link is dead
The URL on the FWC row redirects to the live county page. Use pinellas.gov/parks/a-l-anderson-park.
Lane and trailer counts are FWC's, not the county's
Four lanes (2 single, 1 double) and 87 trailer spaces are FWC inventory figures; Pinellas County publishes neither. The county's July 2006 boat-ramp inventory independently gives 4 lanes here — but 106 trailer spaces, not 87, and a $5/day fee that has since gone up. Treat the lane count as corroborated and the trailer count as unsettled.
Where it actually sits
39699 US Hwy 19, Tarpon Springs 34689, at 28.13330, -82.73844. That is the north end of the lake — not the west shore, which is how it is often described. Roughly five miles of open water separates it from Chesnut.
What is at the park
135 acres. Floating launch docks, paved parking, accessible flush restrooms, lighting, nine reservable picnic shelters, fishing access, a dog park, a playground, and nature trails with boardwalks. FWC's Amenities string carries only "Lighting,Picnic," which is materially short of what the county lists.
What you'll pay
$6 per day per vehicle, with or without a trailer. Cashless pay station — Visa, MasterCard and American Express only, tag number required. Annual Boat & Beach Pass $117.70 incl. tax; $58.85 incl. tax for seniors 65+; free for qualifying disabled U.S. veterans. FWC's row happens to match the amount; the collection method no longer holds.
