The Bare-Bones County Ramp
One concrete lane at 151 Argentina Drive, no docks, six trailer and six vehicle spots, free, open 5 AM to 10 PM. Polk County built exactly what a quiet neighborhood lake needs and nothing it doesn't — bring a bow line and practice your dockless recovery.
Off the Chain
Grassy Lake sits on Winter Haven's southwest side, outside the canal-linked chains — no lock queues, no ski traffic, no tournament mornings. For anglers who'd rather have a small lake to themselves than share big water, that's the entire pitch.
Work the Grass
They named it Grassy for a reason — work the vegetation edges and pad lines. When researching, mind that Florida has several Grassy Lakes, including a well-known one near Minneola; this is the Polk County one in Winter Haven.
