Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Steep Gravel Exit
The gravel driveway coming out is seriously steep. If you're pulling anything heavier than a small aluminum, bring a truck with 4WD — a two-wheel-drive is going to spin its tires on the climb out, especially when it's wet.
Tiny Parking Lot
Six trailer spots is all you get. On a summer Saturday morning, you're competing with every other angler on Duck Lake. Get there early or have a backup plan, because there's really nowhere to overflow.
Winter Access Headache
The parking area doesn't get plowed in winter, so if you're heading out for ice fishing, you're dealing with whatever snow has piled up. A truck helps here too — sensing a theme.
Nice Setup Otherwise
For a small single-lane launch, it's got more than you'd expect — a dock and a bench right at the water. Solid little spot for bank fishing or launching a jon boat without the circus of a bigger ramp.
