Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Parking Fills Fast
Only 17 trailer spots for a 300-acre all-sports lake — do the math. Summer weekends, especially around holidays like the 4th of July, you'll find a full lot by mid-morning. There's no real overflow area, so if you're not early, you're circling or waiting.
Shallow Ramp Surprise
The ramp is shallower than you'd expect for a lake this size. Deeper-draft boats can scrape on the way in, especially later in summer when levels drop a bit. Take it slow backing down and know your hull depth.
Sneaky Speed Bump
There's an oddly placed speed bump in the launch area that'll catch you off guard the first time, especially when you're focused on maneuvering a trailer. It's not well-marked, so heads up before you rattle your gear loose.
One Dock, One Lane
Single lane with one dock, and you can only launch on one side of it. The other side works as a staging area for boats waiting their turn. On busy days expect 15-20 minute waits just to get your boat in the water. Have your rig prepped before you get in line.
Big Lake, Tiny Access
Green Lake runs about 300 acres with depths hitting 50-60 feet in spots — serious water for an all-sports lake. But the access point feels undersized for the traffic it pulls. Jet skis, ski boats, and fishing rigs all funnel through that one ramp. Weekday mornings are your best bet if you're after a quiet fishing trip.
