Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Brand New Ramp
This launch was just built in 2025 by the Allegan crew, so the concrete is fresh and in great shape. Enjoy it while it lasts — give it a few seasons and the river will start doing its thing.
Tight Quarters
One lane and only three trailer spots. If even one other rig is there, you're going to be doing some creative maneuvering. This is a small-boat spot — canoes, kayaks, jon boats. Don't show up with a 20-footer expecting a smooth experience.
Pay Box Setup
There's an honor-system fee — a dollar per watercraft and a dollar for parking. Bring singles or some quarters because there's no attendant and no change machine.
Bank Fishing Limited
If you're thinking about fishing from shore here, don't bother. There's barely any room to set up along the bank. This spot is really just a put-in, not a destination to hang out and cast.
Easy to Miss
It's tucked behind a little red cottage right along River Road. If you're not watching for it, you'll blow right past. Once you find it, though, it's a solid access point for floating the Kalamazoo without dealing with the bigger, busier launches downstream.
