Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Rough Access Road
The entrance drive is in poor shape — rutted, narrow, and easy to miss. Go slow and don't expect anything maintained. If you're pulling a trailer, think twice about ground clearance.
No Real Ramp
There's no proper launch lane here. What exists is basically neglected and barely functional. This is a carry-in situation — canoes, kayaks, small inflatables. Don't show up expecting to back a trailer down to the water.
No Trailer Parking
Zero designated trailer spots. There's just a small clearing area, so if you're bringing anything bigger than what fits on a cartop rack, you're out of luck. Plan accordingly.
Worth It For Solitude
Little Tom is a no-wake lake tucked back in the Allegan State Game Area, and it feels remote even though it's not that far from civilization. If you want a quiet paddle or some bank fishing without another soul around, this is the spot. Just don't expect amenities.
