Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Jet Ski Chaos
Weekends in summer are rough if you're fishing. The lake gets overrun with wave runners and speed boats, and a lot of them don't give anglers much space. If you're after a quiet day on the water, come midweek or wait until after Labor Day.
Parking Fills Fast
Only 10 trailer spots, and they go quick on summer weekends. Get there early morning if you're fishing — by mid-morning the pleasure boaters roll in and you might be out of luck. No real overflow area to speak of.
Ramp Is Solid
Cement ramp with a loading dock, which is a nice touch for a small lake launch. Single lane keeps things moving fine on weekdays, but expect a short wait when it's busy. No major ramp damage or silting issues.
Great Midweek Paddle
If you can swing a Tuesday or Wednesday after tourist season winds down, this lake is a completely different experience. Calm water, good for kayaks and canoes, and you'll practically have the place to yourself.
