Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Only Game In Town
This is the sole public access point on Pike Lake, so if you want on the water, this is it. No alternatives to fall back on if it's busy.
Tiny Parking Situation
Six trailer spots fill fast on summer weekends, especially since swimmers use this launch too. Get there early on Saturdays or you'll be improvising with your trailer on the shoulder.
No Dock, Plan Accordingly
There's no dock or tie-off here — just the ramp. You're wading in to launch and retrieve, so wear shoes you don't mind getting wet and bring a buddy to handle the truck.
Keep It Small
One lane, limited turnaround space, and a small lake — this is jon boat and canoe territory. Don't try to muscle anything over 16 feet in here unless you enjoy a crowd watching you do a 12-point turn.
Warm Water Gem
Pike Lake warms up nicely by midsummer, and the launch area doubles as a swimming spot for families. Weekday mornings are your best bet if you want a quiet launch without dodging kids splashing near the ramp.
