Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Parking Wars
Only 22 trailer spots, and they get poached by employees from nearby businesses who don't have launch passes. On busy summer days you'll circle looking for a spot. DNR enforcement is basically nonexistent, so plan to arrive early if it's a weekend.
Launch Fee
It'll run you $7-8 per launch unless you grab a season pass. Two lanes get you on the water quick, and the ramp drops you right into the lower Thunder Bay River with a short run out to Lake Huron.
The Smell
There's a DPI factory right next door and on warm days it absolutely reeks. Not a dealbreaker, but you'll want to load up and get on the water rather than linger in the parking lot.
Maneuvering Room
Despite the tight parking count, the actual turnaround area is generous. Even with a longer trailer you won't have trouble backing down. Two ramp lanes mean you're rarely stacking up unless it's a tournament morning.
