Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Parking Fills Fast
Only 3 trailer spots, and they go early — especially on summer weekends. Non-trailer vehicles regularly take up trailer parking, which makes the situation even worse. If you're not there by mid-morning, the lot closes and you're stuck a mile away with no way to launch.
Daytime Chaos
The water gets absolutely nuts during the day with recreational traffic — tubers, jet skis, the whole circus. If you're fishing, plan on early morning or late evening runs. Walleye and perch bite best in the late evenings anyway, so it works out.
Trailer Blocking Issue
People launch and then just walk away from their trailers in the staging area, blocking the line for everyone else. With only one lane, one inconsiderate person can shut the whole operation down. Be ready to wait or track someone down.
Get There Early
Friday mornings are manageable, but any summer weekend you need to be first in line. Once the trailer lot fills, they close access entirely — no overflow option, no workaround. A 6 AM arrival is your insurance policy.
Ramp Itself Is Solid
The actual ramp is well maintained with a deep channel, so you won't scrape bottom backing in. Recent improvements added a second launch lane, which helps with flow. The facility is nice — it's purely a capacity problem, not a quality one.
