Submerged Boulders
There are boulders lurking just under the surface in several spots around the lake. You won't see them until you're on top of them, so idle out slowly and keep your prop trimmed up until you know the water. Smaller boats and kayaks do best here.
Small & Quiet
This is a true UP backcountry launch — one lane, 15 trailer spots, and most days you'll have the lake nearly to yourself. Don't expect anything fancy; do expect solitude and solid fishing.
Keep It Small
Worm Lake isn't big, and with those boulders scattered around, this is really a spot for 16-footers and under. Trying to run a big bass boat at speed here is asking for a lower unit rebuild.
Worth The Detour
The area around the launch has a little hiking trail and genuinely beautiful scenery — it's one of those spots where you fish for a few hours, then just sit on the bank and take it in. The lake connects to the King Lake chain via the Vermilac River, so there's more to explore if you're feeling adventurous in a canoe or small jon boat.
