Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Shallow Ramp Entry
The ramp is shallow and weedy — you'll be pushing through vegetation before you even hit open water. Fine for kayaks and canoes, but if you're backing a jon boat in, expect to get your feet wet dragging it off the trailer in midsummer.
Parking Is Tight
Four trailer spots on paper, but honestly it feels more like two usable ones. If somebody parks crooked, you're done. Not a place you want to show up to on a Saturday morning with a buddy caravan.
Small Water, Small Expectations
This is a quiet, weedy little lake — great for a peaceful paddle or drowning worms, but don't come expecting a panfish bonanza. I've had sessions here where nothing so much as looked at my bait. Bring it for the solitude, not the catch.
No Facilities
There's no toilet or amenities at this launch. You're in Yankee Springs Recreation Area, so plan accordingly before you make the drive in. Nearest restrooms are back at the main rec area facilities.
