Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny Lot, Plan Ahead
Five trailer spots fill fast on summer weekends — if you're not there by 7 AM on a Saturday, you're probably out of luck. Midweek is a different story; you'll often have the place to yourself.
Small Lake, Small Boats
This is a small inland lake, so you're looking at jon boats, canoes, and maybe a bass boat. Don't bother trying to get anything over 18 feet down the single lane — the turnaround area is tight.
Fishing Pier Worth Finding
There's a fishing pier to the northeast connected by a short path from the launch site. Easy to miss if you don't know it's there, but it's a solid spot to fish from shore while your buddy launches.
Ice Fishing Access
This launch pulls double duty in winter as an ice fishing access point. The road stays passable in most conditions, though don't expect it to be plowed promptly after a big storm.
Quiet Alternative
Deep Lake doesn't get the pressure that the bigger Lenawee County lakes do. If you're tired of fighting for ramp space at Devils or Wamplers, this is the kind of spot where you can just breathe and fish.
