Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Narrow & Tight
The ramp lane is narrow enough that you'll want to take your time backing in, especially with a wider trailer. Not ideal for anything much bigger than a 16-footer without some careful maneuvering.
Get There Early
Only 15 trailer spots and this is the sole public access on Duncan Lake. On summer weekends, the lot fills fast — aim for before 8 AM or you're likely circling. There's no real overflow option nearby.
Only Game In Town
No other public launch on this lake, so everyone funnels through here. That single lane gets backed up on busy days, and you'll feel it at the takeout too. Weekday mornings are a completely different experience — practically have the place to yourself.
Dock Is A Plus
They installed a dock here, which makes loading and unloading way easier than most single-lane launches in Barry County. There's also a decent spot beside the ramp to slide kayaks in without blocking the lane.
Skip The Outhouse
There's a pit toilet on-site, but it's rough — badly maintained and not for the faint of heart. Plan accordingly before you arrive, especially if you're bringing the family.
