Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Holiday Weekends Pack Out
The 50 trailer spots are usually plenty, but Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day will fill the lot completely. If you're planning a holiday weekend trip, get there by 7 AM or you'll be circling.
Dock Needs Work
The dock is showing its age — some loose boards and general wear. It's functional, but watch your step tying off, especially if it's wet. Hopefully the state gets around to fixing it one of these years.
Chain of Lakes Access
This is your gateway to the chain, which makes it way more versatile than a single-lake launch. You can spend a whole day exploring connected water without trailering anywhere else. That's also why it draws tournament traffic, so expect company on weekend mornings.
Clean Ramp, Smooth Grade
Two lanes with no nasty pavement lips or dips to hang up your trailer. The grade is forgiving enough that you're not white-knuckling it on the way down. One of the easier launches in Branch County for mid-size boats.
Late Season Debris
Earlier in the year the ramp stays pretty clean, but by late summer some weeds and grit build up around the edges. Give the lanes a quick look before you back in — nothing that'll ruin your day, but worth knowing.
