Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Narrow Neighborhood Road
You'll wind through a tight residential street to get here. It's manageable but not fun with a wide trailer, and the exit onto Dixie Highway has poor sightlines — take it slow and commit.
Shallow Near Shore
The water right off the ramp is surprisingly shallow. Kayaks and jet skis are fine, but if you're running a deeper-draft boat, get out to the middle of the lake before you drop any lines. The fish are in the deeper water anyway.
Parking Is Tight
DNR says 3 trailer spots, though you can squeeze maybe 8-10 vehicles on the unpaved lot. Weekdays you'll have zero issues. Even peak weekends haven't been a total lockout, but show up midmorning on a Saturday and you might be circling.
Quiet Gem, Stay Respectful
This launch flies under the radar — tucked back in a calm spot with a single-lane concrete ramp and a short dock. It's free, uncrowded, and pleasant. The tradeoff is zero amenities beyond a pit toilet that gets swarmed by biting flies in summer. Plan accordingly.
