Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Sandy But Shallow
The ramp is a sand launch, not concrete, so expect to get your feet wet. Works fine for small boats and kayaks, but anything heavy can dig in — air down your tires if you're pulling a jon boat through it.
No Dock Here
There's no dock at all, so you're loading and unloading solo unless you bring a buddy to hold the bow. Makes launching a bit of a juggling act if you're alone.
Three Spots, That's It
Only three trailer spots and no real overflow area. On a Saturday morning in summer, you might pull up and find them all taken. Weekday mornings are your best bet.
Bass Worth The Effort
Lane Lake is a sneaky good bass lake — 4-pounders are in here — but it's inconsistent. Some days you'll hammer them, other days it's dead quiet. Likely a no-wake lake, so plan on electric motor only and fish it slow.
