Tiny Lot, Plan Ahead
Four trailer spots is all you get. On a summer Saturday you might find it full by 9 AM, but honestly this lake is quiet enough that mid-week you'll likely have the whole place to yourself.
Small Lake Solitude
This is a little Calhoun County lake, not some big destination — and that's the appeal. You can launch a 16-footer, troll around for pike and crappie, and barely see another boat all day. Don't come expecting tournament bass fishing.
Single Lane, No Rush
One lane, so if somebody's fumbling with their trailer you're just waiting. That said, traffic is low enough that it rarely matters. Just don't show up with a buddy's boat caravan expecting quick turnaround.
The Outhouse Situation
There's an outhouse on site, but let's just say it's vintage — rough shape and not exactly inviting. Plan accordingly before you make the drive out.
Pike Are The Play
Decent pike population in here that a lot of people overlook. Bass fishing is mediocre, but if you're tossing spinnerbaits along the weed edges for northerns, you'll have a good day. Ice fishing crowd hits it in winter too.
