Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny Parking Reality
Two trailer spots — that's it. If someone's already there, you're blocking the lane or parking on the shoulder. Best to arrive early on weekends or plan for a weekday trip.
Small Boats Only
Single lane on a small inland lake — this is jon boat and kayak territory. Don't try to muscle anything over 16 feet through here. The approach is tight and there's no room to maneuver with a big rig.
Water Clarity Warning
The water has a murky, questionable look to it most of the season. Not unusual for a smaller Cass County lake, but don't expect gin-clear conditions. Visibility drops off fast once you're a few inches down.
Solitude Is The Draw
Don't come here expecting a bass tournament. Fishing pressure is low because the fishing itself is mediocre. What you do get is near-total solitude — midweek you'll likely be the only boat out there. Swan families and herons are the main entertainment.
