Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Parking Fills Fast
Only 10 trailer spots, and on summer weekends they go quick. If you're not there by 8 AM on a Saturday, you might be hunting for a place to squeeze in. Weekdays are a totally different story — usually plenty of room.
Ramp Crowding Issues
The single lane means you're sharing space with shore fishermen who set up right on the ramp. Nobody's really enforcing anything, so expect to negotiate your way in and out if bank anglers have lines in the water near the launch.
Ramp Recently Redone
The ramp itself got resurfaced and it's in solid shape — clean concrete, good grade into the water. Easy launch for smaller boats and kayaks alike. Being right next to the Cassopolis Field Office means it stays pretty well maintained.
Calm, Quiet Lake
Stone Lake is typically flat calm, which makes it a great spot for kayaks, small pontoons, and relaxed fishing trips. Not a big-water experience, but that's the appeal — no wake hassles, no big cruiser traffic. Think peaceful morning bass fishing, not tournament staging.
