Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Deep Water Ramp
This is one of those launches where depth is never a concern. You can back in a big boat without worrying about scraping — the drop-off at the ramp is generous, even in late summer when other Cheboygan County launches get sketchy.
Inland Waterway Gateway
You're sitting right on the Cheboygan River section of the Inland Waterway, so from here you can run downstream to Lake Huron or work your way up into Mullett Lake. That flexibility makes this launch worth the drive over smaller, single-waterbody alternatives nearby.
Parking Holds Up
74 trailer spots across a well-laid-out lot means you can roll in at 8 or 9 AM on a Saturday and still find a spot without circling. Fourth of July week and salmon season are the exceptions — show up early those times or you'll be improvising.
Four Lanes, Quick Turnaround
Four lanes keep the launch queue moving fast. Even when it's busy, you're rarely stuck waiting behind more than one rig. The wide approach gives you room to stage without blocking people pulling out.
