Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Shallow Right Off Ramp
The ramp itself is decent, but you'll hit shallow water almost immediately after launching. Trim up and idle out slowly — deeper draft boats need to pay attention until you're well into the main channel.
Pay Cash Or Get Ticketed
There's a daily launch fee (around $6), and they do NOT accept state park passes here. Bring cash. They will ticket you even if you're parked in the overflow lot at Marina Park without paying. Don't learn this the hard way.
Tournament Weekends Get Ugly
Parking fills fast when a fishing tournament is in town, and the bathrooms go downhill quick during those stretches. If you see a tournament on the calendar, get there early or plan to use the overflow lot across at Marina Park.
Dual Ramp, Solid Setup
Two lanes launching into the Little Sturgeon right where it meets the Indian River — it's a well-maintained site with a dock and around 26 trailer spots on-site. On normal weekdays it's practically empty. Weekends and pre-tournament days are the pinch points.
Watch Your Speed On Nabanois
The launch is down Nabanois Road in a residential area. Folks live right along there, and the road is narrow enough that a trailer rig doing 30 feels like 50 to anyone on foot. Keep it slow on the way in and out.
