Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny & Tranquil
This is a small, quiet lake in the eastern UP that rarely sees much traffic. You might share the water with one or two other boats on a summer weekend, if that. Perfect for kayaks, canoes, and small fishing boats — don't bring anything big.
Ramp Is Basic
Single lane, no frills. The ramp is functional but narrow, so you'll want to take your time backing in. Works fine for aluminum boats and smaller fiberglass rigs, but I wouldn't try muscling a pontoon through here.
Parking Fills Fast-ish
Eleven trailer spots sounds tight, but honestly the lake doesn't draw enough traffic to fill them most days. Fourth of July week or a warm Saturday in August might push it, but otherwise you'll have your pick.
Dock Fishing Gem
The dock is a nice bonus if you don't feel like launching. Decent panfish action right from there, especially early morning. It's also a good spot to just sit and watch the sunset — the western views off this lake are something else.
Remote But Worth It
You're deep into Chippewa County out here, so stock up on gas and supplies before heading in. Cell service is spotty at best. That said, the remoteness is exactly the point — it's one of those UP lakes that still feels like a secret.
