This is a no-frills single-lane ramp on a small, pretty lake in Chippewa County. Don't expect facilities — there's no restroom anywhere nearby, so plan accordingly before you make the drive out.
Five Spots Max
With only 5 trailer spots, you're fine on weekdays or early mornings, but if even two other trucks are there it starts feeling tight. Not a place to show up midday on a Saturday expecting open parking.
Well Maintained Ramp
Credit to Straits State Park — the ramp itself is in solid shape and easy to navigate. You can back a modest boat in without fighting broken concrete or weird angles, which is more than you can say for a lot of UP launches.
Ignore The Photos
If you're looking this place up online, don't get excited by waterfall photos that show up — those are from Tahquamenon Falls and have nothing to do with this launch. It's a boat ramp on a quiet lake, nothing more.
