Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Narrow Harbor Entry
The entrance channel into the marina can feel tight, especially in low light or if you're running anything over 30 feet. It's manageable but pay attention — not the kind of approach you want to take casually at 3am in a crosswind.
Parking Fills Fast
Eight lanes is generous, but only 45 trailer spots to go with them. During events like the Trout Festival or a good weekend salmon bite, that lot fills up quick. Get there early on summer Saturdays or you'll be hunting for overflow spots on nearby streets.
Restroom Situation
The marina has a modern restroom building, but it's not for launch users — you're stuck with the porta potty near the ramp. In July heat, it's about what you'd expect.
Security Concerns
Don't leave valuables in your truck or on your boat overnight. Break-ins have happened here, and overnight trailer parking can get you a ticket. If you're staying in the area, it's worth finding off-site parking for your rig.
Town Access Is A Plus
One of the real advantages over launches like Rogers City or Harrisville is the walkability — fuel dock right there, diesel available, restaurants and a marine parts shop all within a few blocks. If something breaks mid-trip, you're not stranded.
