Cedarville Harbor Boat Launch

Only 14 trailer spots, and they're across the road from the launch. Vehicle-only parking is closer to the marina. On summer weekends, that small lot fills by mid-morning — if you're heading out for a Saturday pike trip, get there early or you'll be hunting for a spot.

Cedarville Harbor sits tucked behind the Les Cheneaux Islands, so you're launching into calm, protected water even when Huron is kicking up whitecaps. It's a huge advantage over more exposed ramps along the north shore — you can get out and back without getting beat up.

Drive to the back of the parking lot across the road and there's an artesian well pulling water from over 500 feet down. Fill your cooler jugs before you head out. It's one of those details nobody tells you about until you stumble on it.

Clark Township has put money into this facility — multiple rounds of construction work over the last decade. The ramp surface and docks are solid, and the two lanes handle most traffic fine on weekdays. The carry-down launch next to the marina is a nice option if you're putting in a kayak or small skiff without a trailer.

The Les Cheneaux chain is right out front — dozens of channels, rocky points, and weed edges within a short run. Smallmouth and pike are the main draw, and the perch fishing can be stupid good in the right spots. A dozen fish in half an hour isn't unusual if you find the school.
