Deep Water Harbor
This is a legit deep-water harbor — you're not going to scrape bottom here, even with a bigger boat. Six lanes and 100 trailer spots mean you'll rarely wait, even on a busy Saturday morning in July. The protected harbor keeps things calm during launch and retrieval.
Walk To Town
Downtown Rogers City is a short walk from the harbor. You can grab food, hit a restaurant, or get supplies without moving your truck. Up North 23 Restaurant is the go-to nearby. There's also an ice cream stand right in the park if you've got kids (or just want ice cream).
Staff Goes Above And Beyond
The harbor staff here is unusually helpful — not just friendly-wave helpful, but drive-you-to-the-auto-parts-store helpful. If you need fuel, ice, or just advice on where to go, the harbormaster's office is right there and they actually want to help you out.
Shore Fishing Is Rough
Don't plan on catching anything from the designated fishing pier. I've spent hours out there and watched plenty of others do the same with nothing to show for it. The fish cleaning station gets use, but it's from boat anglers — get out on the water if you want to catch fish.
Late Season Access
The harbor officially closes for the season at some point in fall, but staff has been known to stick around and help boaters passing through even after the official close date. If you're making a late-season run up the Lake Huron coast, this is a reliable stop with full services — fuel dock, pump out, showers, laundry.
