Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tight Maneuvering
If you're running anything over 22 feet, be ready for a squeeze. A 22.5' pontoon can make it work, but longer boats will have a tough time with the tight approach angles at the single ramp.
Parking Fills Fast
It's all dirt and feels like a hidden gem most days, but holiday weekends tell a different story — the lot overflows quickly. On a regular Saturday you're usually fine, just don't roll in late on Memorial or Fourth of July weekend.
Shallow Water Hazard
Watch the depth near the ramp. It can get genuinely shallow, especially for PWCs — rocks and sand will get sucked up and wreck your impeller. Tilt up and idle out carefully until you're in deeper water.
Quick Torch Access
What makes this launch worth knowing about is the 5-7 minute ride to Torch Lake. Plenty deep enough for a 20-footer once you're off the ramp, and the clear water makes it easy to spot obstacles. A solid back-door option when the main Torch launches are packed.
