Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny & Tranquil
Nestor Lake is one of those spots where you might not see another boat all day. It's a small inland lake in Clare County that barely gets any pressure, even on summer weekends.
Small Boats Only
The single lane is narrow and better suited for jon boats, canoes, and smaller aluminum rigs. Don't try backing a 20-footer in here — the approach is tight and there's no room to maneuver.
Parking Is Fine
Ten trailer spots sounds small, but it matches the lake. I've never seen more than two or three rigs in the lot, even on the Fourth of July.
Shallow Near Ramp
Water can get pretty skinny at the end of the ramp, especially late summer. If levels drop, you might need to push off manually. Trim up and idle out slow until you know what's underneath you.
