Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
No Real Ramp
There's no actual launch lane here — this is a carry-in spot only. If you're thinking about dragging a canoe or kayak down to the water, that's about all you're working with. Forget anything with a trailer.
Trout Water Hideaway
Newton Creek is a quiet little trout stream, and this access point stays under the radar. You can fish here for hours without seeing another soul, which is honestly the main appeal.
Rustic Means Rustic
No parking lot, no amenities, no maintained facilities. The area can get a bit trashy depending on when you visit, so don't expect a manicured put-in. It's bare-bones DNR access and nothing more.
Small Water Only
This is a narrow creek — we're talking kayaks, pack canoes, or just wading with a fly rod. Even a standard canoe might feel tight in spots depending on water level and deadfall.
