Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny Operation
One lane, one trailer spot — that's it. If someone's already parked with a trailer, you're out of luck. This is a carry-in or small jonboat kind of spot, not a place to bring a 18-footer.
Bigger Boats Go Elsewhere
If you're running anything larger than a small fishing boat, head about a mile northwest to the launch off Ellsworth Road at Artesian Lane. That ramp handles real boats; this one doesn't.
Weekday Morning Only
With literally one trailer spot, even a single other person means you're blocked. Come on a weekday morning or accept you might be turning around. Weekends in summer are a coin flip.
Old-School Access
This site dates back to 1953 and it feels like it. Don't expect modern amenities or a well-maintained surface. It's bare-bones access to a quiet lake — fine for a canoe or a 12-foot aluminum, and that's about the ceiling.
