Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Dirt & Shallow
This is a dirt ramp, not concrete, and it gets shallow fast. If you're running anything bigger than a small Jon boat or canoe, you're going to have a hard time getting on the water without dragging bottom.
Barely Any Parking
Two trailer spots. That's it. If someone else is already there, you're improvising. Not a place you can count on during any kind of weekend traffic, even light.
Sketchy Vibes
This spot has a reputation for trouble — vehicle break-ins and worse. Don't leave anything of value visible in your truck, and honestly, going with a buddy is a smart move here.
Remote & Rough
It's a backwoods access point managed out of the Escanaba Field Office, so don't expect maintained signage or a groomed approach road. The road in can be rutted and muddy after rain, and there's nothing out here if you need help.
