Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Rocks at Ramp
The ramp is tight — if you drift even slightly off-center while backing in, you're going to hit rocks on either side. Keep it dead straight and take your time. Not the place to rush.
Parking Confusion
Only 6 trailer spots and zero signage telling people where to park versus where to turn around. Clueless folks will park right in your turnaround area, boxing you in. Get there early or be ready to ask someone to move.
Quiet Gem Otherwise
Outside of the launch headaches, this is a really peaceful little lake. Rarely crowded, solid fishing, and the kind of spot where you can eat lunch on the tailgate without anyone bothering you. Great for small boats and kayaks.
Swimmer's Itch Warning
Once the water warms up mid-summer, swimmer's itch becomes a real problem here — affects dogs too. If you're wading at the ramp or letting a dog swim, keep that in mind from about late June on.
Ice Fishing Access
This launch pulls double duty in winter as an ice fishing access point. The small lot is manageable when you're just hauling a sled out, and the lake produces well enough to make the trip worthwhile.
