Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tight Parking
Six trailer spots fill fast on summer weekends. If you're not there by mid-morning on a Saturday, you're out of luck — there's no real overflow area to fall back on.
Small Ramp, Small Boats
Single lane, and it's an older ramp dating back to the 1950s. Fine for kayaks, canoes, and small aluminum boats, but don't try to muscle anything over 16 feet in here. The dock is minimal too.
Quiet Gem With Wildlife
This is a peaceful, tucked-away lake with loons and eagles. If you want solitude and decent fishing without the circus of a bigger launch, this is your spot. Best experienced on weekday mornings.
Watch The Bottom
Water at the ramp can get murky and silty, especially after rain. You can't always see what's underneath, so take it slow backing in. The lakebed near the launch tends to be soft and muddy.
Facilities Are Rough
There's a restroom on site, but don't expect much — it's poorly maintained and pretty unpleasant. Plan accordingly or make a stop before you get here.
