Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Single Lane Reality
One lane and six trailer spots — that's it. On summer weekends you might wait behind one or two other rigs, but honestly this lake doesn't draw huge crowds. Weekday mornings you'll likely have the whole place to yourself.
Pike Off The Dock
There's a dock right at the launch that's worth tossing a line from while your buddy parks the truck. Pike cruise through that area regularly, especially early morning and at dusk.
Clean And Quiet
For a remote Upper Peninsula launch, this one's surprisingly well kept. Vault toilet on site, no trash issues. Baraga State Park administers it and they actually stay on top of things up here.
Deep Keweenaw Country
You're in Houghton County, so the drive in isn't exactly quick from anywhere major. Roads are fine but plan accordingly — no bait shops or gas stations right around the corner. Bring everything you need before you head out.
