Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Watch That Dock
There's a dock near the ramp, but it's in rough shape — wobbly and not something you want to trust stepping onto with gear. Use it to guide your boat in, but don't put your weight on it if you can avoid it.
Trash Builds Up
Being this close to downtown Lansing, the area collects garbage, especially after weekends. Don't be surprised to find bottles and wrappers right along the waterline. It's usable, just not pretty.
Tight Operation
One lane and eight trailer spots means you're in trouble if even a couple other rigs show up. Weekend mornings can turn into a parking lot juggling act fast. Get there early or have a plan B.
Urban Convenience
The big upside here is proximity to downtown Lansing — you can be on the Grand River in minutes without driving out to the sticks. For a quick after-work launch with a smaller boat, it's hard to beat the location.
