Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny But Quiet
Three trailer spots means you're committed to getting here early on summer weekends — but honestly, this lake gets so little pressure that I've rarely seen all three spots taken. It's one of the more peaceful launches in the Rifle River Recreation Area.
Small Boats Only
The single lane is narrow and better suited for 14-footers and smaller. Canoes and kayaks are the sweet spot here. Don't try muscling anything big down that ramp.
Ramp Condition
The launch surface is basic and can get slick with algae by midsummer, especially on the edges. Take it slow backing in and watch your footing if you're wading at the ramp's edge.
Recreation Area Access
You'll need a Recreation Passport on your vehicle since this is inside Rifle River State Recreation Area. The roads in are well-maintained gravel but can get a little washboardy by late season. Signage to Londo Lake specifically isn't great — know your turns before you head in.
