Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny Lot, Plan Early
Four trailer spots is all you get. On a Saturday morning in summer, you're competing with the handful of locals who know this lake. If the lot's full, there's really nowhere convenient to overflow — you're turning around.
Small Lake Solitude
This is a quiet, tucked-away lake in Menominee County that barely gets traffic. If you want peace and a small boat or kayak experience without dodging jet skis, this is your spot. Don't expect amenities beyond the ramp itself.
Single Lane, Small Boats
One lane and a modest ramp — this is built for 16-footers and under. Trying to back a big walleye rig down here is going to test your patience and your mirrors. Keep it simple.
State Park Managed
Bewabic State Park administers this launch, so it stays reasonably maintained, but don't expect the same level of upkeep as the main park boat launch. It's more of a legacy access point from the 1950s that hasn't changed much since.
