Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Small & Quiet
This is a little Upper Peninsula gem that doesn't draw big crowds. One lane and eight trailer spots are usually plenty — even on summer weekends you'll rarely find it full. Perfect for small to mid-size boats; don't bring anything over 18 feet or you'll regret the tight turnaround.
State Park Access
Run by Bewabic State Park, so you'll need a Recreation Passport on your vehicle. Easy to forget if you're just popping over for a quick launch, and there's nobody there to sell you one.
Shallow Near Ramp
Water gets thin close to shore, especially by late summer. If we've had a dry stretch, the last few feet of the ramp can leave you grinding your prop on sand. A little extra push off the trailer helps.
Iron County Roads
The road in isn't bad but it's not exactly well-marked either. If you're coming from US-2, pay attention or you'll blow right past the turn. No signage drama once you're close, but first-timers tend to overshoot it.
