Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Seaweed Gets Thick
By mid-summer the lake is choked with weeds, especially in the shallows near the ramp. If you're running a prop, expect to be clearing it regularly. Not the lake for tubing or skiing — it's a fishing lake, plain and simple.
Tiny But Sufficient
One lane and only four trailer spots, so this is not the place for a Saturday morning rush. That said, it's a small, quiet lake and you're unlikely to run into much competition. Get there early on holiday weekends just in case.
Dock Is Undersized
The dock is pretty small — fine for tying off while you park the trailer, but don't expect room for multiple boats. Works well enough for shore fishing, though, and panfish stack up around it.
Surprisingly Well Kept
For a little public access on a lesser-known lake, the grounds are clean and the grass stays mowed. There is a restroom on site, but I'd call it a last-resort situation — bring your own supplies if you're particular.
