Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tight But Manageable
Single lane ramp, but it's well-built with a solid dock alongside. Stay tight to the dock when loading — the ramp area is compact and you don't want to power onto the trailer here. Easy launch for anything up to about 18 feet.
Weekends Get Packed
Only 14 trailer spots, and this lake draws a crowd on summer weekends. Too many boats for a lake this size on Saturdays — get here early morning or stick to weekdays if you want any peace on the water.
Panfish Lake, Not Trophies
Plenty of bluegill, sunfish, perch, and bass, but don't expect keepers. It's a fun lake to take kids out on, not a destination fishery. Ice fishing crowd shows up in winter too.
Winter Access Iffy
The ramp stays open year-round in theory, but the access road and lot don't get plowed reliably. If we get a heavy snow, you might be breaking trail to get in. A truck with good tires is a must December through March.
Bring Your Own Ambiance
There's a vault toilet on site, but it earns its reputation — especially in the heat of summer. Trash tends to accumulate around the launch area too. The ramp itself is well maintained thanks to the small launch fee, but the surroundings could use more love.
