Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Not A Real Ramp
There are zero actual launch lanes here. This is a carry-in access point at best — think canoes and kayaks dragged down an overgrown trail to the Rogue River. If you're trailering anything, turn around and find another spot.
Overgrown Access Trail
The path from the dirt pulloff down to the water is narrow and gets seriously choked with vegetation, especially by midsummer. Long pants and bug spray are non-negotiable. You'll be pushing through brush to reach the river.
Parking Is Barely There
The main pulloff fits maybe one vehicle. There's an additional spot about 180 feet north, but it's easy to miss. If someone's already parked, you're basically out of luck — no overflow, no shoulder, nothing.
Devils Bridge Curiosity
The main draw here is a small footbridge known locally as Devil's Bridge. It's more of a spooky hiking destination than a fishing access. If you're coming here expecting a functional boat launch managed to any standard, you'll be disappointed.
Signage Is Nonexistent
Good luck finding this place on purpose. There's almost nothing marking it from Friske Drive, and the dirt lot blends into the roadside. First-timers will drive past it at least once. Pull up GPS coordinates before you go.
