Get There Early
Only 29 trailer spots, and on summer weekends they fill by mid-morning. Once it's full, there's no real overflow option nearby — you're just out of luck.
Fast Turnaround
Two lanes and a clean approach make launching and loading genuinely quick here. Even with a 20-footer, you can be on the water in minutes without anyone breathing down your neck.
The Narrows Advantage
You're launching right at the pinch point between North and South Lake Leelanau, so you've got access to both basins without a long run. Head north for the deeper water and better walleye structure, or south for the wider open stretches.
Watch The Channel
The narrows themselves can get a little congested with pontoon traffic on weekends, especially July through mid-August. Idle through carefully — it's tight enough that two boats side by side is about all it handles.
