Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Rough Road In
The access road is unpaved and bumpy — you'll feel every pothole if you're pulling a trailer. Take it slow and you'll be fine, but don't bring anything low-clearance.
Small Boats Only
This is a gravel ramp with one lane and five trailer spots. It's built for kayaks, canoes, and small aluminum boats. Don't try launching anything over 16 feet here — you'll regret it.
Never Really Crowded
Five spots sounds tight, but this lake flies under the radar. Even holiday weekends you're unlikely to find it full. It's a quiet little gem tucked inside Pinckney Rec Area.
Watch Your Vehicle
There's been at least one incident of someone keying a car in the parking area. It's a remote spot with no real oversight, so don't leave valuables visible and consider parking strategically.
Connected Waterways
There's a river channel heading west that links to other lakes — perfect for a lazy paddle out and back. The vegetation and wildlife along that stretch are worth the trip alone, especially in fall when the colors pop.
