Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Camper Launch Only
This is basically a campground launch — no designated trailer parking at all. If you're not staying at one of the handful of sites, you've got nowhere to leave a rig. Day-use visitors should plan on car-topping a canoe or kayak.
Lakefront Site Perk
Most campsites sit right on the water, so if you're staying here you can drag a canoe or small boat straight off your site without even touching the ramp. That's the real way to use this spot.
Deep Backcountry Feel
This is way out in the Two Hearted River country — rustic, less than 10 sites, vault toilets, and the water pump has been unreliable. Bring your own water just in case. Cell service is basically nonexistent.
Walleye Worth Knowing
Pike Lake holds walleye, which is a nice bonus for a small UP lake. Pontoon boats and other motorized craft are allowed, so you're not limited to paddles, but keep it modest — this is a quiet lake with residential shoreline mixed in.
Single Lane, Minimal Ramp
One lane, and don't expect a polished concrete ramp. It'll handle a small aluminum boat fine, but I wouldn't try to muscle anything over 16 feet down there. The approach is tight and there's no real staging area to speak of.
