Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny But Functional
Two trailer spots and one lane — that's it. This is a small-lake launch for small boats and kayaks. If someone's already there with a trailer, you're basically waiting in the road.
Old-School Ramp
This thing dates back to 1965 and it shows. The ramp is basic and narrow, so don't bring anything wider than a 16-footer unless you enjoy scraping. Check for silt buildup near the waterline, especially after spring runoff.
Weekday Sweet Spot
With only two spots, a Saturday morning arrival can mean you're out of luck. Hit it on a weekday and you'll likely have the whole lake to yourself. Great little panfish lake — perfect for a quiet afternoon with kids in the boat.
Easy To Miss
Signage getting in is minimal. You're looking for a small turnoff that doesn't exactly announce itself. If you're coming from Orchard Beach State Park area, slow down or you'll drive right past it.
