Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Shallow Water Warning
The lake is pretty shallow overall, and it's especially noticeable near the shore and ramp area. If you're running anything with a deeper draft, take it slow heading out until you find the channel. Don't expect much depth close in.
Tight Parking Window
Only about 5 marked trailer spots, but the dirt lot can squeeze roughly 10 rigs if people park smart. On a summer weekend morning, that fills up fast — get there early or you're out of luck.
Winter Access Issues
Don't count on the lot being plowed after a storm. The DNR doesn't always keep up with snow removal here, so if you're doing any ice fishing, you might need to park on the road shoulder and drag your gear in.
Quick & Simple Launch
Single lane, dirt lot, nothing fancy — but it works. The ramp is straightforward with an easy approach, so you're in the water fast. For a small UP lake with good fishing, that's all you really need.
